Vision
The Siren Scene is a cultural marketing and curatorial studio rooted in New Bedford and expanding nationally. Partnering with galleries, cultural institutions, businesses, and community organizations, The Siren develops strategic campaigns, exhibitions, editorial features, and media content that elevate artists, strengthen cultural initiatives, and connect creative communities with broader audiences. Through thoughtful storytelling, high-quality design, and community-driven programming, The Siren helps organizations increase visibility, deepen public engagement, and contribute to the cultural ecosystems that support the arts.
Curious Figure 3
Curious Figure 3 is a national juried exhibition organized by The Siren Scene, bringing together a compelling cohort of 42 figurative artists from across the United States. On view at the historic Star Store in downtown New Bedford, the exhibition highlights the human figure as a site of concept, structure, zeitgeist awareness, and material expression while actively contributing to the building’s reawakening as a renewed arts center within the city. Artworks are available for purchase in person at the gallery as well as through the online gallery auction house, allowing collectors to directly support the artists. An official exhibition catalogue, designed as an archival time capsule of the show, can also be purchased online, offering audiences the opportunity to experience and revisit the full scope of the exhibition beyond the gallery walls.
Origin Story
Founded in 2014 by Kat Knutsen, The Siren Scene was created to amplify artists shaping their communities through creativity and cultural engagement. Backed by an MFA in painting, over a decade of teaching visual arts and digital media, and professional experience ranging from the Oscar-nominated Loving Vincent to large-scale public mural projects, Kat brings together fine art, education, storytelling, and community-driven media. Relaunched in 2024, The Siren has evolved into a cultural marketing and curatorial platform that highlights artists and creative initiatives through exhibitions, editorial features, digital campaigns, and public programming that connect local creative ecosystems to broader audiences.
