The Siren Scene is a curatorial platform and creative studio that partners with galleries, cultural institutions, businesses, and community organizations to elevate artists whose work demonstrates strong craftsmanship, conceptual depth, and cultural relevance. Rooted in New Bedford, Massachusetts and expanding nationally, The Siren connects regional creative communities with broader audiences through exhibitions, editorial features, and strategic media campaigns—creating meaningful visibility for its partners while fostering deeper engagement between artists and the communities they inhabit. Its mission is to strengthen the ecosystems that sustain the arts by bridging artists, venues, sponsors, and the public through thoughtful, high-quality programming that encourages participation, dialogue, and shared cultural investment.

The Siren Scene began in 2014, founded by Kat Knutsen to amplify artists shaping their communities through creativity. With an MFA in painting, a decade of teaching visual art foundations and digital media, and notable projects including animating the Oscar-nominated Loving Vincent and designing a Jazz Mural recently featured on NPR, Kat brings a unique blend of technical skill, academic insight, and public engagement to the project.
Relaunched in 2024, The Siren has grown from its local roots to spotlight established artists whose work blends craftsmanship with socially relevant themes, bridging the studio and the world stage through curated storytelling, digital features, and public art.
